In the spring of 2015 I got sick, sicker than I have ever been. Infection upon infection ravaged me and it took me a couple of months to get back to any semblance of myself.
To gain back some strength, I started talking walks in the forests. A walkabout of sorts. I brought my camera, looking at the world anew after a dark period. There was beauty, but there was also a shadowside. I aimed my lens, took a breath and clicked. The photos you see here are the result of those walkabouts. It took me a couple of months to get to editing them. It’s a strange sensation, reliving the feelings I had, half a year later.
The images below were shot on a Canon 5D mkII with an array of different lenses. I edited all of it in Adobe’s Creative Suite 6 with a few plugins for color correction and effects. If you are interested in purchasing a print of one of these images, please contact me for pricing and shipping information.
