It’s the end of the day
the start of the evening
the day after the night
of our orbital convergence
I’m looking at the palest blue
a delicate desaturated sky
jackdaws swarm
spiriting away some part of me
back into your sphere
I feel silly
trying to capture
my turmoil
I feel young
and vulnerable
I don’t know
how to do this
there’s just this
hole of pain and
warmth
Your mouth,
lips and tongue
are to blame
as are your eyes
If only we could
spend some time
together
in that pale blue
outside of time
dissolve
There are clouds now
night is falling
I hope this message
finds you before
the dark
obscures you again
from me
That’s all
I wanted to say
really
